In 1950, it was renamed Hot Spring Village, and from 2015, the Pingtung County Government renovated the park, injecting shrine elements to revive tourism.

The Sichongxi hot spring has a weak alkaline sodium bicarbonate spring (pH about 7.8-8), and the spring temperature is 50-80°C (highest in March and April). It is clear and odorless. The spring water is rich in minerals, promotes blood circulation, and relieves muscle stiffness. It is said to have soothing effects on skin diseases, arthritis, neuralgia, etc., and the skin is smooth after bathing, hence the name "beauty soup."
